These lakes, located in the near northwest of Nairobi, are part of the Great Rift Valley. Combined together, these parks offer beautiful sceneries for photography and videography.
Lake Naivasha is famous for its high populations of hippos and flamingos. Apart from that, the park boasts a rich number of wildlife composed of giraffes, caracal, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, zebras, impalas, and waterbucks which can be sighted in the immediate environs of its shore.

Take boat rides, move to Crescent Island (where you can walk among the wild), transfer to Crater Lake Game Sanctuary where Night game drives can be organised at Crater Lake or rather hike Mount Longonot. This park is an adventure you’ll keep talking about. Lake Nakuru on the other hand, centerpiece of the national park and most famous for the two million or so flamingos that feast on the lake’s algae forming a spectacular scenery, a fluffy like pink blanket. Along the reeds of the lake and past, you’ll find a great number of species which consists of black and white Rhinos, elephants, buffalos, hippos, waterbucks, warthogs, impalas, elands, giraffes inclusive of Rothschild’s giraffe, zebras, elands, gazelles, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyenas and many more. You may also spot pythons in the wood vegetation. It is a spectacular place for birdwatching with over 400 species.
