Day 1 Nairobi to Masai Mara

We’ll begin our Kenya adventure with a 7:30 am pickup from your Nairobi hotel or from the Nairobi airport. Proceed to the Masai Mara game reserve, Kenya’s best wildlife safari reserve.

The drive to the Mara is via Kenya rural settings that contrast dramatically as you progress towards the Great Rift Valley escarpment where we shall make our stop to admire this historical setting.

Most of the drive shall be at the floor of the Great Rift Valley and through Masai country where you will spot herdsmen tending to their livestock. (Hot) lunch enroute.

During the afternoon hours after arrival and check in at our Masai Mara tented safari camp/ safari lodge, we will explore the Masai Mara on your first game viewing drive in this African safari tour.

Day 2 Full Day At Masai Mara Game Reserve

We’ll rise early in the morning and move inside the Masai Mara with plenty of time for unlimited game drives today. This park is not only beautiful but also holds a good concentration of wildlife. You’re sure to see plenty of African big five predators and grazers moving about on this great savannah dotted with distinctive acacia trees.

If you should be at the park during the time of the Kenya migration season (July – October) prepare to take in the greatest display of migrating animals – wildebeests and zebra – on the planet. Their numbers are breathtaking.

We’ll visit the Mara River at the point of this crossing, where crocodiles await and massive hippos forage. The focus of this African safari trip will also be spent tracking other wildlife over plains of the park – lion, leopard, buffalo, cheetah, rhino and gazelle.

We offer several optional Kenya safari excursions to add more value and memories to your African safari adventure here. Speak to us about taking a hot air balloon safari ride. You’ve never experienced anything like rising with the dawn over the Masai Mara with an endless 360 – degrees view of the park and its wildlife.

Day 3 Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru

Today after breakfast concludes our stay in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. For a more up close and personal safari experience you can take this opportunity to visit the Masai village for some cultural discovery.

At their local village, you’ll get to see their lifestyle, culture and you can also purchase some colorful souvenirs as a memento of your visit.

We’re next off to Lake Nakuru but on the way, we’ll make stops to eat at one of the Kenya safari hotels, stretch our legs and admire some of the more scenic spots we come upon.

During the afternoon hours we can arrange for an optional boat ride adventure at the nearby Lake Naivasha and explore this beautiful lake on an exciting boat safari to view hippos, exotic birds among other wildlife that we’ll come across.

We’ll spend the night here and then rise for an early morning game drive and bird watching.

This will be followed by a return for dinner and overnight at your tented safari camp/ chosen Kenya safari lodge/ safari hotel.

Day 4 Lake Nakuru – Amboseli National Park

Today we shall arise to an extensive early morning game viewing drives at Lake Nakuru before we exit the park.

Due to some progressive natural factors, the flamingo numbers have been reducing but the park itself remains stunning – one of Kenya’s finest.

The few quantity of flamingos is accompanied by other rich birdlife – pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, ostriches, storks as well as herons and eagles. The scene here is bountiful, busy and full of color.

But that’s only the beginning of what this special park has to offer because the wildlife viewing here is easy and accessible. Some of Africa big five animals will be encountered among the famous tree climbing lions and leopards. You’re sure to see rare Rothschild’s Giraffe along with white rhino, especially along the lakeshore. The rhino sanctuary here holds one of Kenya’s largest herd of endangered black and white rhinos.

At an advised time, we’re off on a long and easy drive to the Amboseli National Park (with stops).

We may even see views of Mt. Kilimanjaro’s peak – weather permitting. On the way to Amboseli. Upon arriving at Amboseli in the afternoon, we’ll take a short game drive before dinner and overnight at your tented safari camp/ safari lodge.

Day 5 Amboseli Full Day Exploring

We’ll be looking for the many herds of large tusked elephants marching through the park returning from their watering holes. You’re sure to see the great mass of Mount Kilimanjaro rising to the south. This is also a good time of the day for the cloud cover to disperse revealing the mountain’s famous snow-capped peak. This park serves as a famous African wildlife photographic safari destination because of its epic views all round.

There are countless spots that offer breathtaking views of the park with the famous Mount Kilimanjaro serving as a background to the home of the giants. From the observation hill, you’ll be able to get a good view of the park with some of the animals moving about.

Among other safari animals that you may see at the Amboseli national park include: Elephant, Cheetah, Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra, Lion, Mongoose, Hyrax, Dik-dik, Lesser Kudu and nocturnal porcupine etc

Overnight at your Amboseli safari lodge or tented safari camp.

Day 6 Amboseli National Park – Nairobi

It’s our final day of this epic safari trip in Kenya, and we’ll rise up very early in the morning to pack in as much as possible. We’ll start with a breakfast then proceed for a shorter game drive and see who else we can check off our list. We might revisit any spots you may have missed.

Then we’re off to Nairobi with a stop for lunch on the way.

We should arrive at about 16:30 hrs. (4:30 pm).

Upon arrival an onward drop-off at your Nairobi hotel/ transfer to JKIA for your flight home signals the end of this epic African safari vacation.
