Day 1 Arusha – Lake Manyara

Approximately (2, 1/2 hours)

07:30 am, your driver/guide will pick you up from your Arusha area hotel or the airport so that you can begin your safari Lake Manyara National Park.

We will be on our way through the scenic Masai country, it’s possible you will get a view of some herdsmen along the way.

We’ll be arriving at Lake Manyara Park in time for a picnic lunch at the spot Ernest Hemingway. We’ll be on the lookout for the famous tree-climbing lions and it will be hard to miss those brilliant large flocks of fuchsia flamingoes. Apart from that, we’ll also be on the search for elephants, giraffes, warthogs, and the small, shy dik-dik.

We’ll take an evening drive, leaving the park and head up the towering escarpment for wonderful views. Dinner and overnight at camp/lodge.

Day 2 Lake Manyara – Serengeti

(An Approximate of 4 hrs.)

We’ll begin our day early and enjoy the morning light upon the green world all around us. There will be a safari breakfast to start and soon we’re hopping into our safari vehicle for the journey to the famous Serengeti.

We’ll stop along the way for a scenic picnic and to enjoy the day.

But in no time, we’ll come upon the endless plains of the famous Serengeti. There we will enjoy an afternoon game drive through Tanzania’s greatest park. All Big Five are found here as well as hartebeest, topi, buffalo, and waterbuck.

Dinner and overnight at camp/lodge.

Day 3 Full-Day Exploring the Serengeti

Morning and afternoon game drives in the rolling grasslands studded with wildlife for as far as the eye can see.

Enjoy a full day of 4x4 game drives in the magnificent Serengeti. Watch the landscape change within the park from the vast treeless central plains to thick scrub and forest in the north. Start at sunrise with a morning game drive, then return to the camp in the middle of the day to escape the midday sun. Take some time to relax and enjoy a meal, then when it’s cooled down and the animals are more active, set out again for an afternoon game drive. Later on return to camp in the evening for dinner.

You may like to spend the morning game viewing on a hot air balloon safari over the Great Plains.

Day 4 Serengeti – Ngorongoro

An approximate 3 hour drive

Today, the early morning sun will light up the vast Serengeti plains and its famous resident predators and grazers emerging from the night. We’ll be exploring this glorious scene before heading off to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

En route, we’ll stop at the incredible Olduvai Gorge, a rich archaeological site in Tanzania where evidence of the first humans has been found.

And then we arrive at the rim of Ngorongoro – the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. We’ll descend into the crater, a self-contained ecosystem teeming with over 25,000 animals.

We’ll spend the day exploring this thriving world of wildlife cut off from the rest of Africa. Lions, leopards, black rhinos, elephants, monkeys, antelope, and even pink flamingoes occupy this special place. Then, toward evening, we’ll head back up the volcano’s wall and marvel at a stunning sunset lighting up the crater’s rim.

Dinner and overnight at Camp/Lodge.

Day 5 Departure, Ngorongoro – Arusha

Approximately 3 ½ Hour Drive

If we get up early we can catch another marvel at the crater’s rim – an amazing sunrise.

And then we’re off for our trip back to Arusha. We’ll take some rest stops and enjoy lunch along the way.

We’ll bring you back to your hotel, or airport.
