Since you’re on a private African safari, your safari time is flexible and you can choose to return back to your safari lodge for lunch or rather take with you a packed picnic lunch therefore maximizing your time out in the field.

Our focus during this Kenya safari trip will be spent tracking the abundant range of species from the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, the Beisa Oryx, Elephants, predators such as the Lion, Leopard and Cheetah till late in the evening after which we’ll enjoy our dinner and retire for the night at our Samburu safari lodge/ tented safari camp.

You have the opportunity to go for an optional boat safari at Lake Naivasha and sail among the hippos as you watch the birdlife and other Kenya safari animals that we’ll come across. Later on return to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 Lake Nakuru to Nairobi

Today, our early mornings will also be spent on bird and game watching drives around the Lake.

Due to some progressive natural factors like increasing water levels, the flamingo numbers have been reducing but the park itself remains stunning – one of Kenya’s finest. Great rocky escarpments tower over acacia forest, waterfalls, wooded hills and euphorbia trees dot the lake.

The few quantity of flamingos is accompanied by other birdlife – pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, ostriches, storks as well as herons and eagles. The scene here is bountiful, busy and full of color.

But that’s only the beginning of what this special park has to offer because the wildlife viewing here is easy and accessible. Lake Nakuru is known for hosting some endangered but beautiful species. You’re sure to see rare Rothschild’s Giraffe along with white rhino, especially along the lakeshore.

The park is also sanctuary to one of Kenya’s largest populations of black rhino.

We’ll have lunch enroute as we depart for Nairobi whereby we will arrive in the late afternoons followed by your transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport/ your Nairobi hotel bringing an end to this Kenya safari trip.
