Big 5 Kenya & Tanzania Wildlife Safari

Pick up from your hotel at 8am for a safari briefing and then drive to Nakuru. We’ll arrive in time for lunch and proceed at the park for game viewing with our picnic lunch boxes. Afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru. Photographic opportunities and thrilling game drives will keep you busy in this scenic Lake. Return for dinner and overnight.

Today we depart the camp/lodge after breakfast and drive via the scenic floor of the Great Rift Valley to Masai Mara.

We should arrive in time and have lunch and orientation of the camp/lodge in which we’ll be calling home for the two nights before heading out on our first afternoon safari. With a variety of activities in this renowned reserve, our focus will be game drives as we try our level best to maximize our time with predators, something which Masai Mara is well known for.

Return for dinner and overnight.

Today we will start off our morning shortly before sunrise as we try and maximize our game viewing opportunities. The area has a very healthy population of lion, leopard, cheetah and African bush elephant all of which you’ll get to witness at a safe close range.

The Greater Mara has attracted millions of photographers and filmmakers from around the world and for a good reason, it’s an incredible sighting and never seems far away.

We’ll head back for lunch then in the late afternoon proceed with our game drives till sunset after which we will return to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early pre-breakfast, a morning transfer from Masai Mara will see us journey to Serengeti via Isebania border crossing from Kenya into Tanzania. Enter Serengeti via Ndabaka gate for a game drive then drive south and west to the western corridor of the great Serengeti via Ndabaka Gate with a picnic lunch. The Serengeti is home to huge numbers of wildlife, not just the thousands of wildebeests and zebra but also great prides of lions and other big cats.

Dinner and overnight at respective camp/lodge.

Full day spent exploring the park. Morning and afternoon game drives are offered. You also have the chance to participate in the optional activities.

The Serengeti is home to perhaps the largest number of lions anywhere but we’ll also be tracking other wildlife such as cheetah, zebra, giraffe, gazelle, eland, impala, hippo, and the curious and downright amusing warthog.The Serengeti never fail to impress

Dinner and overnight stay at camp/lodge.

We’ll wake up to an approximate drive of 3-4 hours making our way to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Olduvai Gorge; here were discovered thousands of fossilized remnants of early man’s activity – an incredible record of tools and artifacts showing our evolution from millions of years ago. We’ll game view as we drive southeast up into the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation Area .Stop over at The Olduvai Gorge with picnic lunch en route.

We’ll arrive at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact volcanic caldera on the planet. Before us stretches an enclosed world of rich wildlife and protected habitats.

The final morning of the safari will see you delight in an early breakfast and check out for our full morning crater tour. This will be followed by lunch before moving out for Arusha bringing this great safari to an end. (You can fly to Zanzibar or drive back to Nairobi).
