Day 1 Nairobi – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Depart from Nairobi at 0730Am to Ol Pejeta Conservancy (approximately 3-4 hours)

Drive through an exciting road trip and arrive at your OlPejeta tented safari camp/ safari lodge for lunch. We should arrive at Ol Pejeta Sanctuary in the afternoon with enough time for your first game drives as we introduce you to your African safari tour. We’ll visit the very unique Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary where rescued and orphaned chimps are nursed back to health.

Ol Pejeta also features a protected zone for over 100 black rhinos and there’s also plenty of big cats in this sanctuary. We will use our time well in this special reserve, a conservancy that is famous for holding the last two White Rhino species in the world.

Return to your tented safari camp/ safari lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 Ol Pejeta to Lake Naivasha

Ol Pejeta to Lake Naivasha

There’s so much wildlife in Ol Pejeta, we’ll arise to an early morning game drive to see who we can spot before departing this lovely place.

We’re now headed through the Rift Valley on a scenic drive to Lake Naivasha. Along the way, we’ll stop at Thompson’s fall to admire its dramatic flows.

Moving forward, we’ll arrive at Lake Naivasha in time for an afternoon boat safari across the lake, another beautiful introduction into your African wildlife safari. This is an easy, relaxing ride, sailing past hippos and exotic birdlife dotting the lake and its shores. Nearby, we may spot antelope, zebra, buffalo, eland, and impala perhaps grazing on the shore.

We should also have time for a guided walking safari to the nearby Crescent Island Game Sanctuary. It’s a quick walk to this small park where we’ll spot impala, gazelle and other grazers close-by.

Return for dinner and overnight at your tented safari camp/ safari lodge.

Day 3 Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara

After breakfast depart for the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, one of Kenya’s top game parks or rather call it one of the best African safari destination good for first time safari goers and solo travelers..

(Optional activity in Naivasha: visit to Hell’s Gate National Park at an extra USD 35 Per Person).

The drive will take us past the dramatic rises and gorges of the Great Rift Valley, passing through Masai country. The Masai Mara impresses with its vast spaces but also with its amazing displays of the Kenyan wildlife, said to contain the greatest density of lions in the world.

We’ll arrive at the iconic park with plenty of time for an afternoon game drive. Over its rolling green hills and golden savannahs, we’ll be looking for the big cats, elephant, giraffe, ostrich, warthog, plus buffalo and more.

Return to your Masai Mara tented safari camp/ safari lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Full Day Exploring Masai Mara

We’ll wake up to a beautiful sunrise with the light breaking over the Masai Mara Game Reserve, with fresh tracks of wildlife impressed on the morning dew. Today is a day of unlimited game drives and fulfilling exploration on this African safari excursion. Sightings of lion are common on these plains and so we will track these mighty creatures.

The park is also known as the place where the greatest movement of animals on the planet occurs – the Masai Mara Great Migration. If you are here during the Kenya great migrating season (July – October) you’ll be witness to thousands and perhaps tens of thousands of gazelle, wildebeest, and zebra pouring into the park over the Mara River.

We’ll enjoy our picnic lunch by the river and if in season, watch the lots of wildlife flood into the park. Also, nearby, we’ll look for hippos and crocodiles in their river habitat.

To round up your Africa Kenya safari experience here, we offer several optional activities: Visit the local Masai tribe at their village. See their lifestyle and culture up close and take in their colorful ceremonies and dance in their African safari attire.

For the ultimate safari, hop aboard a hot air balloon safari for a pre-dawn ride over the park. You’ll see the sun light up the savannah while the park comes alive below. This is an inspiring and unforgettable moment you’ll be talking about for years. Just ask us early to make the arrangements.

Return to your tented safari camp/ safari lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 Masai Mara – Nairobi

Let’s make our final day of this African safari trip special with an appetizing morning breakfast at your tented safari camp/ safari lodge, afterward you have an option to visit the Masai village before starting your journey back to Nairobi.

We will bring you to your Nairobi hotel or the Nairobi airport signaling the end of your African safari package.
