Day 1 Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

0730 am. We will start with an early morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel/ Nairobi Airport and drive via the magnificent Africa with expansive savannah plains dotted with local homesteads and colorful Masai tribe’s men and their cattle.

We’ll be arriving at Amboseli National Park around mid-morning, plenty of time for a game drive and to get familiar with the park before lunch. Here, you can’t miss the sights of Mt. Kilimanjaro nor the very present herds of elephants – so many you’re guaranteed to see them moving along the park.

An afternoon wildlife game viewing drive is scheduled for the late afternoon when animals are at their most active.

Amboseli is a small park but very dense with wildlife. You’re guaranteed elephant sightings as well as the stunning backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro framing the park. Return for dinner and overnight at your Amboseli tented safari camp/ safari lodge.

Day 2 Amboseli National Park Full Day

This massive summit surveys the plains of Amboseli and serves as a picturesque background for the vast herds of free-ranging elephants you’ll see throughout the park. Keep an eye out for other big game like lion, leopard and Maasai giraffe as well.

The park also features a diversity of landforms, and you may travel through wetlands, savannah, woodlands with a visit to the Amboseli observation hill giving us an incredible view of the park and some of its wildlife.

You’ll have fun on these many game drives, but you’ll also have plenty of time for relaxation at your safari lodge or tented safari campground. Just let us know your preferences.

You can also take advantage of an optional visit to the local Maasai village to meet its people and learn about their nomadic culture and way of life, one of the special highlights of this African safari holiday.

As we depart Amboseli, we’ll take a last glance at Kilimanjaro and perhaps sneak a peek at its famous summit, if the clouds disperse.

Overnight will be at your Amboseli safari lodge / tented safari camp.

Day 3 Amboseli – Tsavo West National Park

Early morning game viewing drives at the Amboseli with possible chances of the morning Mount Kilimanjaro views.

It’s just a two-hour drive to our final park, the striking Tsavo West. This is one of Kenya’s oldest parks and offers us a vivid landscape of hills, golden savannahs and luxuriant oases. We’ll spend the day here on game drives, circling around giraffe, buffalo, hartebeest, dik-dik, monkeys and baboons.

At Mzima Springs, a verdant, lush watering hole, expect hippos. And you’ll love the special underwater viewing platform where you’ll enjoy a unique perspective of these aquatic creatures. Also look for crocodile and other wildlife along the shores.

Your final night of the safari will be spent here, and in the morning, we’ll take off on one more game drive in this celebrated national reserve.

Overnight will be at your Tsavo West safari lodge / tented safari camp.

Day 4 Tsavo West – Kenyan Beach Resorts

Now it’s a quick drive to the train station at Mtito Andei for your trip to the Kenyan coast. On the way there you’ll be traveling through Tsavo West and Tsavo East Park so there’s still more opportunities to view these reserves and possibly some wildlife.

Later proceed to Mtito Andei train station (Next to Tsavo West) where you shall board the standard gauge Nairobi-Mombasa Train (Madaraka Express).

In about 3 hours, you’ll arrive at the state-of-the-art train station in Mombasa.

At the train station, your driver/guide will assist you with tickets and transfer to the Madaraka Express, the new high-speed train to Mombasa and the coast.

Your first-class ticket is included with the tour, so enjoy the comfort of your air-conditioned compartment and reclining seat. The train’s route is positioned higher than the roadway and offers an elevated view of the parks. And with its large windows you’ll enjoy wonderful vistas of the passing landscapes.

Train Schedule

Approximately 10:45am arrive at the train station.

10:54am:  Depart for Mombasa on the Madaraka Express Train with elevated country views through Tsavo East national parks.

14:00pm: Arrive Mombasa train station where you shall be met by your transfer vehicle and driver.

Transfer to your hotel or resort is also included – we’ll pick you up and bring you to your local hotel or resorts in Malindi, Watamu, Diani, Mombasa and Kilifi beach.

Day 5 Full Days Exploring Diani Beach

This day will start with an appetizing breakfast at the resort as you plan for what to do during the day. Linger in the breathtaking shore, spend your time at the historical/ cultural heritage areas, visit the Mombasa Old Town and catch a glimpse of the beach’s best sights during your walking safari excursion. Return for dinner under the clear skies in your resort with an overnight stay.

Day 6 Departure For Nairobi

Enjoy a superb early morning breakfast at the Mombasa hotel as you prepare to for a checkout.

Now it’s a quick drive to the train station at Mombasa SGR terminus for your trip to Nairobi City. On the way there you’ll be traveling through some of the

Kenya wildlife parks, so there’s still more opportunities to view these reserves and possibly some wildlife.

Later proceed to Mombasa SGR terminus where you shall board the standard gauge Mombasa - Nairobi Train (Madaraka Express).

In about 5 hours, you’ll arrive at the state-of-the-art train station in Nairobi.

At the train station, your driver/guide will assist you with tickets and transfer to the Madaraka Express, the new high-speed train to Nairobi City.

From here we’ll transfer by road to your Nairobi hotel/ Jomo Kenyatta International Airport signaling the end of this fantastic African tour package.
