Day 1 Mombasa/Nairobi – Tsavo East

0730 am. Pick up from Mombasa hotel or Airport in the morning for your long awaited safari trip in Kenya. We’ll head out on the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway, making our way to Tsavo East National Park.

We’ll arrive at the southern gate of Tsavo East and take a break for refreshments before our first game drive. You may be struck by the vastness of Tsavo, its rugged plains, and endless sky.

We’ll head out on our first game drive and ready ourselves for some adventure.

This is a true wilderness where you’ll be looking for lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, cheetah, ostrich, and many other hunters and grazers among other Kenya safari animals.

We’ll break for lunch and some relaxation time. Then jump into our African safari vehicle and look for wildlife amongst Tsavo’s famous watering holes where the thirsty animals gather, especially as the day cools down.

Don’t be surprised if we catch a beautiful African sunset on our way back to camp. Dinner and overnight at your Tsavo safari lodge/ tented safari camp.

Day 2 Tsavo East – Amboseli

We’ll be up with the sun (or before) for an early morning breakfast and game drive to watch the light break upon the plain and the first signs of wildlife.

The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, lesser Kudu, gerenuk and the prolific bird life features 500 recorded species and the famous man eating lions.

Then we’re off to Amboseli Park, situated at the base of majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro – the tallest mountain in Africa. The animal spotting here is almost made easy.

The Amboseli National Park is said to be perhaps the best safari destination in Africa for seeing free-ranging elephants up-close. And with the great mountain in the background, it’s hard to take a bad picture. The park is also considered best for and African photographic safari after Masai Mara.

As we get toward dinner time, look to see if the clouds covering Kilimanjaro’s snowy peak begin to part, offering a stunning vista of the famous iconic summit. Dinner and overnight at our Amboseli safari lodge/ tented safari camp.

Day 3 Amboseli – Lake Naivasha

Good morning, its day 3 of our African tour package, let’s rise with the sun and the birds to relish the new day upon the fresh savannah and witness the wildlife emerging onto the plain.

We’ll breakfast and then take a final game drive in the park as we exit for Lake Naivasha.

Comfortable in our African safari vehicle, we’ll head toward the floor of the Great Rift Valley with stops along the way to admire the scenic views of this dramatic landscape.

We’ll arrive at Lake Naivasha in the mid-afternoon and afterwards we will move out for a game drive with a visit to Hell’s Gate National Park where we’ll pass close to peacefully feeding antelope, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and more.

The Park which allows walking safari, Hiking, Bicycling ride, Rock climbing and photography of wildlife and a visit to geothermal power plant. Later on dinner and overnight at your tented safari camp/ safari lodge.

Day 4 Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara

We’ll be up early to enjoy the early morning breakfast as the light breaks over the forest and lake, listening to the birds and seeing the animals come to life.

But now we’re traveling over the floor of the scenic Great Rift Valley with views of the escarpment as we journey through Masai country.

Today is a special day of this African safari vacation because the best wildlife safari destination - Masai Mara National Reserve awaits us.  You’ll know you have arrived someplace special. Kenya’s most popular park, the reserve is world-famous for its incredible density of wildlife and during the Masai Mara Great Migration Season (July – October) an unending spectacle of gazelle, wildebeest, and zebra streaming into the park in thousands.

All of Africa’s Big Five are here so we’ll be tracking lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, plus warthog, ostrich and so much more. Dinner and overnight at our Masai Mara safari lodge/ tented safari camp.

Day 5 Full Day Exploring The Masai Mara

We’ll begin our day with an early morning game drive. Witness the light breaking over the Mara is lovely as the first stirrings of wildlife begin.

The Masai Mara is known as the site of the Kenya Wildebeest Migration and should you be here at that time (July – October) you’ll witness the greatest movement of animals on the planet. Zebra, wildebeest, gazelle and more pour over the Mara River into the park by the thousands on their yearly cycle for fresher grasses.

The sight of this of this spectacle of wildlife stretching for miles is an unforgettable image.

We’ll have the option to spend full day in the park with packed lunch or head back to our camp/ safari lodge for lunch.

We will visit the Mara River and view the hippos, crocodiles and perhaps other predators lying in wait. The day will be filled with such wildlife sightings. Species such as secretary bird, eagles, ostriches, storks and vultures are among the more than 50 different birds of prey to encounter.

There are also several optional activities should you wish to involve yourself in to make this African safari vacation more exciting: You can also hop on a pre-dawn hot air balloon safari flight above the Mara – a truly unforgettable experience of your Kenya safari tour. Just tell us early and we’ll make all the arrangements.

Day 6 Masai Mara – Nairobi

Wrapping up your African safari package today is a leisurely morning breakfast at your tented safari camp/ safari lodge, afterward you have an option to visit the Masai village before starting your journey back to Nairobi.

Your dedicated expert driver guide will assist you with the checkout process and proceed to Nairobi with stops along the way. We’ll depart Masai Mara with a hot lunch stop along the way, arriving in Nairobi during late afternoon hours (approximately 15:00Hrs, typically 3:00 Pm) and bring you to your Nairobi hotel, or the Nairobi airport.

Drop off at your Nairobi City hotel /Nairobi airport signaling the end of this exciting trip to Kenya.
