Iconic Midrange Masai Mara Safari

Nairobi – Masai Mara Game Reserve (Approximately 5 – 6 hrs)

0730am: You will be collected from your Nairobi hotel / Nairobi airport.

Start off the journey to the Masai Mara Game reserve, one of Kenya’s top wildlife safari destination as we navigate through the floor of the Great Rift Valley. We’ll be making stops along the way to refresh and view the remarkable features of the escarpment.

The plan is usually to check in and get orientation followed by some lunch. We’ll then ready ourselves for the afternoon safari, returning to your midrange safari lodge/ tented safari camp a few minutes after sunset where a lovely dinner awaits.

These will be full days on safari, a journey that will see us navigate deep in the Mara Reserve.

If you are lucky enough to be doing this African safari trip during the Kenya migration season (July – October) which sees the arrival of a million herbivores, primarily (wildebeest, zebra’s and some topis) from Serengeti National Park, you will witness drama up-close as the lions, stalking leopards, solitary cheetahs and packs of hyenas take on these migrating wildebeests and zebras among other mammals.

The Masai Mara Game Reserve offers the best African safari experience especially for first time African safari goers with sightings of lions guaranteed among other Kenya wildlife including crocodiles, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, black-backed jackals and mongooses among other wildlife.

Our days in this midrange Masai Mara safari will be spent tracking this species along with a visit to the famous Mara River – which is the center stage for the Kenya Masai Mara migration safari.

Since your midrange Kenya safari is private your game drive timings are flexible, you may also choose to have a full day game drive [one for the whole day] with a packed picnic lunch at no extra cost, maximizing our time in the park Or go for the two game drives; one in the morning before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon after lunch.

All nights will be spent at your midrange safari lodge / tented safari camp in the heart of Masai Mara and you’ll get to enjoy all the hotel amenities that come with the package.

Wrapping up your African safari package today is a relaxed morning breakfast at your tented safari camp/ safari lodge, afterward you have an option to visit the Masai village before starting your journey back to Nairobi.

Your dedicated expert driver guide will assist you with the checkout process and proceed to Nairobi with stops along the way. We’ll depart Masai Mara with a hot lunch stop along the way, arriving in Nairobi during late afternoon hours (approximately 15:00Hrs, typically 3:00 Pm) and bring you to your Nairobi hotel, or the Nairobi airport, signaling the end of our African safari vacation.
