Day 1 Nairobi – Tsavo West National Park

0730 am. Your driver guide will pick you up at your Nairobi hotel/ airport where we’ll start off our African safari trip to Tsavo West National Park.  Famously known for its man-eating lions, this is a park filled with impressing plain bushes, woodlands, volcanic forms and great vegetation.

We’ll start our afternoon game drives on the lookout for lions, cheetah, elephants, zebra, ostrich, buffalo and many more of the resident wildlife in this park. Let’s be patient so that we can track them all.

During lunch hours we’ll take a break to refresh then more game drives will follow. We shall visit the park’s rhino sanctuary, created to protect more than 85 endangered wildlife that call this home.

The park is also filled with hundreds of migratory birds – African skimmers, yellow bishops, goshawks, weavers, starlings, kingfishers, hornbills, and many more. Return to your Tsavo safari camp/ Tsavo safari lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 Tsavo West – Amboseli

Today we’ll arise early in the morning to capture the magical African sunrise as the animals come to life. This is a special time and a great opportunity to capture the morning wildlife activity.

Up next, our Kenya wildlife safari takes us to the Mzima Springs, a naturally fed oasis full of wildlife, fish, crocodile, hippos, and birds. We can do a guided walk along the green shores, taking in this beautiful landscape features.

From here it’s a short drive to Amboseli National Park with epic views of the tallest Mountain in Africa - Mount Kilimanjaro serving as your beacon guide as we approach this wildlife photographer’s paradise. This is one of Kenya’s most rewarding parks and best for a Kenya photo safari.

You are guaranteed to spot the large family herds of elephants trekking past the park with Mount Kilimanjaro serving as their background. That said, we will also be in search of the park’s smaller residents like foxes, monkeys, and baboons. And at its marshes and lakes, you’ll see a delightful assortment of birdlife like pelicans, kingfishers, egrets, and herons.

Towards evening the cloud cover sometimes obscuring Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped summit burns off, revealing one of Africa’s most dazzling sights.

Day 3 Amboseli National Park – Nairobi

Once again, today we’ll rise up early in the morning to capture the scenic views of Mount Kilimanjaro’s snowy summit (weather permitting). We’ll board our 4 x 4 safari Jeep and proceed with our morning game drive to witness Amboseli’s dawning wildlife. We’ll enjoy breakfast before looking for those species we haven’t yet spotted and add them to our list as we complete our safari.

We’ll break for lunch and then journey back to Nairobi. We should arrive in the late afternoon around 16:30 hrs. (4:30 pm) with a drop- off at your Nairobi hotel/ JKIA airport signals the end of our short Kenya safari.
