Day 1 Nairobi to Masai Mara

We’ll begin our Kenya adventure with a 7:30 am pickup from your Nairobi hotel or from the Nairobi airport. Proceed to the Masai Mara game reserve, Kenya’s best wildlife safari reserve.

The drive to the Mara is via Kenya rural settings that contrast dramatically as you progress towards the Great Rift Valley escarpment where we shall make our stop to admire this historical setting.

Most of the drive shall be at the floor of the Great Rift Valley and through Masai country where you will spot herdsmen tending to their livestock. (Hot) lunch enroute.

During the afternoon hours after arrival and check in at our Masai Mara tented safari camp/ safari lodge, we will explore the Masai Mara on your first game viewing drive in this African safari tour.

Day 2 Full Day At Masai Mara Game Reserve

We’ll rise early in the morning and move inside the Masai Mara with plenty of time for unlimited game drives today. This park is not only beautiful but also holds a good concentration of wildlife. You’re sure to see plenty of African big five predators and grazers moving about on this great savannah dotted with distinctive acacia trees.

If you should be at the park during the time of the Kenya migration season (July – October) prepare to take in the greatest display of migrating animals – wildebeests and zebra – on the planet. Their numbers are breathtaking.

We’ll visit the Mara River at the point of this crossing, where crocodiles await and massive hippos forage. The focus of this African safari trip will also be spent tracking other wildlife over plains of the park – lion, leopard, buffalo, cheetah, rhino and gazelle.

Day 3 Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru

Today after breakfast concludes our stay in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. You can take this opportunity to visit the Masai village for some cultural discovery with these colorful tribe before making our way to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Make some special memories on your African safari tour by witnessing and interacting to the cultural ways of these indigenous people.

We’re next off to Lake Nakuru but on the way, we’ll make stops to eat at one of the Kenya safari hotels, stretch our legs and admire some of the more scenic spots we will come across.

During the afternoon hours we can arrange for an optional boat ride adventure at the nearby Lake Naivasha Park and explore this beautiful lake on an exciting boat safari to view hippos, exotic birds among other wildlife that we’ll come across.

We’ll spend the night here and then rise for an early morning game drive and bird watching. Dinner and overnight at your chosen tented safari camp/ Kenya safari lodge/ safari hotel.

Day 4 Lake Nakuru – Amboseli National Park

Today we shall arise to an extensive early morning game viewing drives at Lake Nakuru before we exit the park.

Due to some progressive natural factors, the flamingo numbers have been reducing but the park itself remains stunning – one of Kenya’s finest.

The few quantity of flamingos is accompanied by other rich birdlife – pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, ostriches, storks as well as herons and eagles. The scene here is bountiful, busy and full of color.

But that’s only the beginning of what this special park has to offer because the wildlife viewing here is easy and accessible. Some of Africa big five animals will be encountered among the famous tree climbing lions and leopards. You’re sure to see rare Rothschild’s Giraffe along with white rhino, especially along the lakeshore. The rhino sanctuary here holds one of Kenya’s largest herd of endangered black and white rhinos.

At an advised time, we’re off on a long and easy drive to the Amboseli National Park (with stops).

We may even see views of Mt. Kilimanjaro’s peak – weather permitting. On the way to Amboseli. Upon arriving at Amboseli in the afternoon, we’ll take a short game drive before dinner and overnight at your tented safari camp/ safari lodge.

Day 5 Amboseli Full Day Exploring

We’ll be looking for the many herds of large tusked elephants marching through the park returning from their watering holes. You’re sure to see the great mass of Mount Kilimanjaro rising to the south. This is also a good time of the day for the cloud cover to disperse revealing the mountain’s famous snow-capped peak. This park serves as a famous African wildlife photographic safari destination because of its epic views all round.

There are countless spots that offer breathtaking views of the park with the famous Mount Kilimanjaro serving as a background to the home of the giants. From the observation hill, you’ll be able to get a good view of the park with some of the animals moving about.

Among other safari animals that you may see at the Amboseli national park include: Elephant, Cheetah, Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra, Lion, Mongoose, Hyrax, Dik-dik, Lesser Kudu and nocturnal porcupine etc

Overnight at your Amboseli safari lodge or tented safari camp.

Day 6 Amboseli – Mombasa – Kenyan Beaches

(Approximately – 1 hr.)Train to Mombasa-4 hours

As we exit the park on the way to the train station at Emali, you’ll be seeing your last views of Amboseli. However, on your upcoming train journey, you’ll be passing through both Tsavo West and Tsavo East for more park vistas and possibly wildlife viewing.

Your driver/guide will bring you to the train station at Emali. There, he’ll assist you with tickets and transfer to the Madaraka Express, the new high-speed train to Mombasa and the coast.

Your first-class ticket is included with the tour, so enjoy the comfort of your air-conditioned compartment and reclining seat. The train’s route is positioned higher than the roadway and offers an elevated view of the parks. And with its large windows you’ll enjoy wonderful vistas of the passing landscapes.

Drop – Off

In about 4 ½ hours, you’ll arrive at the state-of-the-art train station in Mombasa.

Transfer to your hotel or resort is also included – we’ll pick you up and bring you to your local hotel or resort in Malindi, Watamu, Diani, Mombasa and Kilifi beach signals the end of this epic African safari vacation.

Train schedule

Approximately 9:15am arrive at the Emali train station.

09:31am:  Depart for Mombasa on the Madaraka Express Train with its elevated country views through Tsavo West & Tsavo East national parks.

14:00pm: Arrive Mombasa train station where you shall be met by your transfer vehicle and driver.

Transfer to your beach hotel in Mombasa, Tiwi, Diani, Kilifi, Watamu or Malindi.

Arrival at your beach resort between 4.30PM -6 PM)
