We’ve got a very busy day before us, so we’ll depart early for Lake Naivasha.
The Lake Naivasha area is filled with forests, extinct volcanos, waterfalls, and dramatic gorges. It’s a high-altitude, freshwater lake featuring hippos, aquatic, and birdlife.
But there’s plenty of wildlife as well – view buffalo, impala and waterbuck drawn to the lake’s shores.
We’ll have lunch here and enjoy a sail across the lake, taking in the resident hippos.
Then, we’ll take a special trip to nearby Crescent Island Game Sanctuary – a beautiful private reserve that is filled with animals, mostly gentle grazers. The Sanctuary’s naturalist will take us on a guided walking safari to view the herds of wildebeest, waterbuck, zebra, gazelle and more.
But now it’s time for the easy drive back to Nairobi. Over our 3-day trek you’ve enjoyed many lakes, lots of wildlife and probably thousands of birds, including the always dazzling flamingoes.
We’ll arrive back in Nairobi in the early evening and drop you off at your hotel, residence or the airport.
The sights and sounds of your African safari will be lasting memories you’ll enjoy for years. But when you get the urge to safari again, we hope you’ll contact African Vulture Safaris for your next African adventure. We thank you for your time, your patronage and your trust.
