Masai Mara, L. Naivasha, Amboseli, Taita Hills to Mombasa

0730 am. Your expert driver/guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel, Nairobi airport as we prepare for our journey Masai Mara.

We’ll break up our drive with a stops at the Great Rift Valley Escarpment and Narok town for some refreshing and hot lunch, afterwards proceed to Masai Mara Game Reserve.

We’ve arrived at the best Kenya wildlife park in the world, and home to an incredible diversity and concentration of wild animals. All the Africa Big Five are here with a special emphasis on the cats such as lion, leopard, and cheetah.

We’ll fill our day with game drives over the deep savannah looking for the big game plus warthog, hyena, zebra, and many more hunters and grazers.

It’s a special day 2 of our Kenya wildlife safari tour and we’ll be up early to enjoy the awakening day and the birdsong on the great reserve. This is a day of unlimited game drives so get ready to check off the animals on your “to see” list.

The Masai Mara features the greatest density of wildlife in this region of Africa and you’re right in the middle of the action.

Should you be here during the Masai Mara Wildebeest Migration season (July – October) you’ll be witness to the sight of thousands of gazelle, zebra, and wildebeest streaming over the Mara River in search of greener pastures.

We’ll visit the famous Masai Mara River and enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, checking out the hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife action play out before us.

On top of it all, leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetah, jackal and bat-eared foxes will be encountered. The black rhinos are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance if you are lucky.

Early morning breakfast followed by our checkout for Lake Naivasha, an approximated 5 hour drive to Lake Naivasha where we will call home today. You will arrive just in time for lunch, and check in at respective tented safari camp/ safari lodge. Later in the afternoon you will go for a game drive with a visit to Hells Gate National Park which allows walking safari, Hiking, Bicycling ride, Rock climbing and also wildlife photography opportunities with a visit to geothermal power plant.

Day four (4) of our African safari excursion and we’ll arise to an early morning breakfast followed by our check out to Amboseli National Park, with an approximate of 5 hours to be covered (with stops), there will be a stop to view the Great Rift Valley scenery as you proceed to Amboseli National Park which lies at the floor of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa.

Your arrival will be followed with a short game drive as you proceed to your destined Amboseli safari lodge/ tented safari camp for check inn and hot lunch. We later on proceed for an afternoon game drive with views of Mount Kilimanjaro providing us with scenic backgrounds for photography of the foraging Elephants among other Kenya safari animals like the lions, Cheetah, and Buffalo which can be seen at the swamp area.

Dinner and overnight at your Amboseli safari lodge/ tented safari camp.

Today we’ll rise to an early morning game drive after which you will return to your tented safari camp/ safari lodge for breakfast followed by a checkout for Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary with a game drive en-route.  The approximated 3 hour drive to Taita hills Sanctuary Park will see us arrive in time for lunch.

In the afternoon we’ll go for game drives at Taita Hills Sanctuary It hosts cape buffalo, African bush elephant, African leopard, Masai lion, cheetahs, Masai giraffe, zebra, hartebeest, impala, waterbuck, Thomson’s gazelle, lesser kudu, dik-dik, and other smaller animals, including a great diversity of birdlife.

Dinner and overnight at Sarova Saltlick Game Lodge with all rooms having a private viewing balcony commanding views of the adjacent Taita Hills.

Early morning breakfast followed by a game drive as we check out of Taita Hills Sanctuary finishing off our day 6 of this African wildlife safari in style.

Now it’s a quick drive to the train station at Mtito Andei for your trip to the Kenyan coast. On the way there you’ll be traveling through Tsavo West and Tsavo East Park so there’s still more opportunities to view these reserves and possibly some wildlife.

At the train station, your driver/guide will assist you with tickets and transfer to the Madaraka Express, the new high-speed train to Mombasa and the coast

Drop – Off

We will proceed to Mtito Andei train station (Next to Tsavo West) where you shall board the standard gauge Nairobi-Mombasa Train (Madaraka Express).

Your first-class ticket is included with the tour, so enjoy the comfort of your air-conditioned compartment and reclining seat. The train’s route is positioned higher than the roadway and offers an elevated view of the parks. And with its large windows you’ll enjoy wonderful vistas of the passing landscapes.

In about 3 hours, you’ll arrive at the state-of-the-art train station in Mombasa.

Approximately 10:45am arrive at the train station.

10:54am:  Depart for Mombasa on the Madaraka Express Train with elevated country views through Tsavo East national parks.

14:00pm: Arrive Mombasa train station where you shall be met by your transfer vehicle and driver.

Transfer to your hotel or resort is also included – we’ll pick you up and bring you to your local hotel or resorts in Malindi, Watamu, Diani, Mombasa and Kilifi beach.
